Bristol-hailing music label X-AMNT, founded by Kickback and Bunjy, has returned once more an exciting project from producer Sozen titled Emphasis EP.

SoZen, based in the Southwest, is a truly creative music producer with a natural flair for music that has seen them release a long string of memorable material with Wax Warehouse back in the early 2010’s.

Their experimental sound witnesses them push the boundaries of Drum and Bass, incorporating their eclectic soundscapes with carefully chosen elements of Soul and Jazz. Each individual track released by the veteran producer playfully explores each and every parameter of the genre with a series of unique musical stamps scattered throughout.

Emphasis EP poses as SoZen’s second appearance on the X-AMNT label after a previous feature on a compilation released in 2021. The 4-part body of work is the ideal showcase of SoZen and their dynamic approach to music production. Each track flexes a series of varying musical elements consistent with an array of genres hooked around a rally of infectious drum patterns.

Fading into one another seamlessly, every track featured on the track list holds its own as an effortless example of SoZen; the highly seasoned music producer.

The EP will be available exclusively on Juno and Spotify from 27th January 2023, with the full release coming on 22nd February 2023
